Bella Vista Vineyard Cottage opened in October 2008. It is a new self contained cottage in a fabulous private vineyard setting, only minutes from Matakana village.
North facing and elevated, the property enjoys all day sun and stunning valley views across to Little Barrier Island. The cottage is situated in 11 acres of private vineyard approximately 65 metres from the main house. It has its own private entry and garden
Purpose-built, the cottage is modern, light and tastefully decorated. A single story two bedroom cottage, it includes a fully equipped contemporary kitchen, lounge/dining area, well appointed tiled bathroom with heated floors and a log fire. For your own comfort there is no smoking in the house.
Ideally Bella Vista is suited towards one couple or two singles. However it can accommodate 3-4 persons for shorter stays in two king size beds, or upon request one king size and two king size singles (There will be an additional charge for reconfiguring the beds).
Quality linen and robes along with complementary slippers and toiletries are provided in each room, along with a bottle of wine and other welcome treats. Seasonal , locally sourced, gourmet breakfast provisions for the first morning's breakfast/brunch can also be made available for guests upon request.

Please Note:
- An optional continental breakfast can be left in the cottage for guests for $10.00 per person
- A more substantial basket of locally sourced farmhouse breakfast/brunch goodies for the first morning is also available for an additional $15.00 per person.
- Christmas/New year and long weekends require a minimum 3 night stay. Bookings for 3-4 persons and all weekend bookings require a minimum 2 night stay
- Enquiries for weekly rates outside of period listed above welcomed.
- Laundry and garage facilities are available.
- Bella Vista Vineyard Cottage is set in a working vineyard, hence is not suitable for children under 14
Cancellation Policy
We will always endeavour to rebook the space and if successful, a full refund will be made. Otherwise, for bookings cancelled between 3 and 6 weeks of arrival there will be 10% charge, within for 8-21 days, a 50% charge, and within 7 days, a 100% charge.
